FM99 & The Fox
Creative Projects
This is the first commercial I ever wrote, voiced, and produced entirely on my own. It was a paid advertisement for the Chesapeake Humane Society, and before this I had only done PSAs or Contest announcements. Being given this responsibility affirmed to me my skill level and ability in this field.
This is my first team-commercial in which I had a bigger role. While the commercial is comedic, being a part of another paid advertisement for a big client of ours was an amazing opportunity.
Perhaps my most fun commercial from my internship was this one. It was one of my last ones, so I was much more confident than some of my previous work. This is the commercial that solidified an interest in voice acting in me. It's a silly advertisement, but it showed how much having fun can affect the final product.
I was very nervous about this commercial. Only after agreeing to "a commercial that needs a feminine voice" did I learn it was for The Love Shack. At the end of the day, I walked away with a new sound and a product I was proud of.
Although I play a small part in this commercial (that of. complaining child) It was my first commercial back with FM99 during my second summer there. I was unsure of how much I would be working on audio as I was focusing on my video skills, but this commercial is what started pulling me back into the booth during that internship.
I haver fallen in love with the history of Prince Edward County during my college years in the tiny county. One part I am especially passionate about is the Dunnington Mansion. After doing an audio story on the home for a class assignment, I reached out to the organization working to save the home and created another version for their website.
I was tasked with creating an audio version of a children's book at the end of my junior year. I chose this book because my mom and I read it countless times when I was little. She still today will call me Alexander when I call about an especially tough day, and it felt very special to create my own version of the story.
