Hermitage Country Club

FM99 & The Fox

Over the last two years I have explored the history, the home, and the connections that Poplar Hill and its families had to the local community. An audio history of the home can be found under my Audio Samples or on the Dunnington Mansion Foundation website.

ROLES: Producer, Director, Editor, Voice Over

This is the first video in which I ever took on sports. Sports present unique challenges with speed and movement, so I think I grew a lot as both a videographer and an editor through this project. Sports reels are supposed to be "hype videos", and learning to use things like music, slow motion, and cuts to black were really crucial for the success of this piece.

This recruitment video for Hermitage Country Club was designed to, first, draw in candidates for a busy summer season and, second, elevate the brand and create a video that speaks on the experience at Hermitage. One of Hermitage's aspirations is reaching the 'Platinum Club' status, which is voted on by other clubs. This video aids in that effort by showcasing the life of working at the club.

I also created construction updates for HCC's renovated Pool Kitchen. This renovation expanded the initial kitchen to accommodate the anticipated increase in traffic due to the racquet sport expansion. This update shows exterior construction (shot primarily on the DJI Mini Pro 3 Drone) and some interior updates (shot on the Canon Rebel using a DJI Ronin-SC Gimbal)

Hermitage Country Club began construction of their new Platform Tennis and Pickleball courts in December 2023. I have created video updates of the construction to share with their membership and the public on a monthly basis. The majority of footage was captured using the DJI Mini Pro 3 Drone and was edited on Adobe Premiere Pro. Click here to view the previous update.

I have worked with FM99 and The Fox of Tidewater Communications for 2 summers now, and I was honored to capture some of our annual festival: Lunatic Luau! While I was legally restricted from recording the performances, that is not what I had hoped to capture in the first place. There is so much beauty in people coming together to celebrate commonalities, and it was a joy to capture.

I was lucky enough to accompany Fm99 Rock Girl Jordan to wave the green flag at Langley Speedway! This was one of my first projects through my internship where I had creative control from shooting to producing.

I shot and produced a Behind the Scenes video for the FM99 Rock Girl! This shoot was Bay Watch inspired, and all footage was shot on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I went into this shoot with a semi-vintage theme in mind, and I was so excited to see it turn out well.
